Has anyone had any experience setting up an old (7 years old) Xante
accel-a-writer 8200 laser printer to a Mac G4 desktop?? I've contacted
Xante and they sent out the driver. They say it's up to 3rd party
peripherals to make the connection between the two and I just cannot
make it happen. I am so, so incrediably fustrated!! This machine cost
over $4000. and the print quality is so wonderful!! And I don't want
to compromise and buy something else that just can't cut the mustard.
I only have 3300 copies on this machine too, so it's really like brand
new. I just can't believe I can't get the two to talk. I was thinking
of using my old powerpc 7100 that I used before, maybe as a print
server? I even had a mac wiz come out but he couldn't figure it out.
There has got to be someone, please, please someone that can help
me!!!
Thanks!!!

We would need a TON more information than this. Which Mac do you have, what
kind of connections does the printer have, etc, etc.

The computer is a G4 (Macintosh) it has all the usual ports, serial,
paralle, scsi, local talk, ethernet. There is no ethernet card
available, so I'm told, so it can't be connected that way. What else
do you need to know?
