which duplex laser printer

Hi

I need a laser printer with automatic duplex printing at lower end of
spending. Any suggestions and on duplex mode how much does it slow the
printing speed?

Hi Duncan,
I have been using a Brother HL 1650 for the last year and have been
very satisfied with it.
In single sided mode it produces the rated 16 pages per minute. In
duplex mode it drops to 7 double sided pages per minute.
Output quality is excellent in text and pretty good in graphics. It
has its own Brother postscript built in and its output is better than
its standard HPGL and windows output.
I have never had a jam, costs seem to be 2 or 3 cents a page and the
software works well enough. The warm up and first page out are very
quick. It is allso light weight and quiet.
We paid less than $500 for it..
All in all, it has been a very good purchase.
