Having a problem with Epson Stylus Photo EX
processing print jobs with no ink!? The cartridges
definitely move and sound like they think they are
printing but nothing at all appears on the paper.
The ink lights are not indicating any problem. I
have thought of checking the cartridge but have
read that once you take it out you can't reseat it.
Any ideas?? I am new to these printers - as well
as the MAC it is on. Thanks.

You can safely remove and re-insert the same cartridge for an
Epson EX. The only problem is that the status monitor will think
that you have just inserted a new (full) cartridge. So now you run
the risk of running the inks completely dry because according to
the status monitor, you still have inks in the cartridge.

This is probably what happened in your case (somebody re-inserted
the cartridges). You should get a new set of cartridges and try again.
