I just started refilling (see my other post) and own printers that use the
45/78 combo and the 56/57/58 combo cartridges. It seems like every website
and vendor on eBay (except the ones that sell "universal" kits) have
seperate refill kits for the newer HP cartridges (56/57 in particular) -- is
it because the ink is different? I bought a refill kit designed for the 78
cartridge (works GREAT) and I'm looking to also try refilling my 57
cartridge. It's not even half empty yet, but I may fiddle with it once it's
empty. I won't use it for anything other than regular stuff, because for
photos I want the lightfastness of HP inks.

It truly is amazing how close the color is. Now I can actually afford to
print as many labels, pictures, and colorful documents as much as I want --
without worrying at all. Now I just need to get more empty 78 cartridges
for when mine burns out -- readily available I can possibly get
three...we'll see.

And thanks again to everybody that has been answering my questions. This is
the best place to gain knowledge on different subjects. Thanks :)

#78 Ink may work with the #57 However I would search out 3rd party Dedicated
ink for the #57
You would be surprised how close 3rd patry ink gets to the OEM ink.
The inks I use are Korean www.inktec.com they make IMHO the best inks for
HP
