When my ink cartridges get low, there is a warning popup every time I go to
print. Is there any way of disabling this or just having it pop up once
every few days. I find that these start popping up but I still can get 4 to
6 weeks minimum printing from these cartridges.

Thanks,

Henry

No way to be rid of them short of finding a new printer driver.

If it's the same as for the earlier 9xx series,
Open Toolbox
Click on top left window icon
Click on 'About'
A window appears with a large icon of a printer in the middle, hold the
Control key while you double-click on this icon.
Another window appears behind the others, select it via the taskbar to get
the focus.

One of the options is to turn on/off low ink warnings.

I can't thank you enough. Now, hopefully the hair I pulled out everytime I
received that low ink warning will grow back. :)

Ever feel like you just won the lottery?? This morning after changing
my color ink cartridge only to have the damn warning pop up again on
the black cartride I came to this group to see if anyone else was as
annoyed by these warnings as I was. And then I found this thread.
Thank You, I just followed the instructions and they worked to a tee.
I consider these warnings to be as accurate as the gas gage in my car
and lets not mince words here...they were designed by HP to get us
change our cartridges more often and to spend more money on ink. By
the way...when I changed the color cartride it said I had 0% ink left
[not true] and the black cartride had 20% left. After rebooting it
now says I have 100% color and 10% black. Huh!!! I haven't printed a
thing yet today. How could the black cartridge go down by 10%. What
a scam. Anyway...thanks for the info. We are all grateful for the
computer users that have the patience and knowledge to find these
little hidden gems. Jan
