Epson 640 won't print black

My Epson 640 has stopped printing black. It's not the drivers nor the ink
cartridge (because I replaced to see if it would fix the problem).

It working fine a few weeks ago and then it just stopped. I've reinstalled
my operating system Windows ME and the drivers but it still won't work.

Has anybody have this problem before or is it only me and does anyone know
how to fix it?

Are you saying, it was working under windows me before and it wont now@

run several cleaning cycles, I know this uses a lot of ink but it can't be
helped. It takes at least 6 cleaning cycles to clear the nozzles, do this
first. Don't run more than 3 cycles and wait for the printhead to cool for
half an hour and then run another 3. Try this and then let us know the
result.
