Hard drive: Western Digital 9.18 GB Ultra2 LVD SCSI

From looking at these quick specs: Is the card too old to support the hard
drive?
I have the proper 50 pin ribbon cable, adapter to fit the hard drive, and
terminator for the ribbon.
Although all parts seem to be the right ones, I am still having some
difficulty in getting the card to detect the hard drive in the SCSI chain (I
am using the boot up utlity to scan the chain, it comes up with no
devices... termination . I have done considerable troubleshooting, and I am
starting to wonder if the card is too old to function properly with my hard
drive.
Your advice is greatly appreciated!
Also, feel free to email me directly if you have questions
