I want to run a check disk type of program that looks at the media of
a CDRW and tells me if there are any bad sectors or clusters or
whatever parts of a CD that hold data.

I was using CDSpeed from Nero but the scandisk feature on it reports
my CDRW disk as all bad (surface scan) and can't do a file scan. Don't
know if this is a limitaiton of the CDROM or the program.

What do you guys use?

thanks

Just wanted to mention that you can get HUGE numbers of bad bits on a
CD and still have a good disk, due the the error-correcting that is
inherent to the data encoding used...uses up a big part of the usable
space, but worth every bit.
