Dear All,

We are trying to boot over a network using BOOT APP. We have given the
following boot parameters.

boot device : fei
processor number : 0
host name : madhavim
file name : d:\ftpfiles\vxWorks.st
inet on ethernet (e) : 100.100.100.139:255.0.0.0
inet on backplane (b) :
host inet (h) : 100.100.100.72
gateway inet (g) :
user (u) : madhavi
ftp password (pw) (blank = use rsh) : test123
flags (f) : 0x40
target name (tn) : target
startup script (s) :
other (o) :

Then, we are getting the following error.

Error: FTP transfer failed.
Error loading file: errorno=0x41

We are not getting the following messages which are explained in the
article at http://www-kryo.desy.de/documents/vxWorks/V5.4/vxworks/netguide/c-booting4.html

Attaching network interface ln0... done.
Getting boot parameters via network interface ln0.
Bootp Server:150.12.1.159
Boot file: /usr/wind/target/vxBoot/vxWorks.vx245
Boot host: 150.12.1.159
Boot device Addr (ln0): 150.12.1.245
Subnet mask: 0xffffff00
Attaching network interface lo0... done.

Note: When we booted with hard disk we are able to do FTP transfer
without any issues.

ANy idea/hint would be greatly appreciated.

Thansk and Regards,
Madhavi M

Have you tried using an Ethernet analyser such as Wireshark to see
what, if anything, is being sent on the network?

Are you sure the FTP server make visible the file you are trying to send through network?
