Hi,

I am working on vxworks 6.8. I have created an Image project based on my customized BSP. When i tried to load the vxWorks image to the target it loaded properly to one target But the same image did not loaded properly to other target. i got the following error while loading the image to target:

.Loading... 2372240

Failed.
Error opening dt3240lab1:vxWorks.sym: status = 0x41

Following is the console output for the same.

My vxWorks.sym file is not loaded so i was not able to use the symbols. Can anyone suggest me where may be the problem?

Thanks in Advance.

This may be useful to anyone who finds this thread while searching like I did (I suspect that scorpion has solved it by now).

My board runs u-Boot rather than the VxWorks System Boot loader, and u-Boot expects the vxWorks file to have the symbols in it already.

To set this up, you need to turn on the built-in symbol table with INCLUDE_STANDALONE_SYM_TBL. Workbench has at least 2 ways to do this under Kernel Configuration: your BSP should have a bundle for "standalone kernel shell"; or you can just look under Components for symbol table components and drill down to select built-in instead of downloaded.

HTH!
