Hello everybody,

I've got a problem concerning the vga support of VxWorks.

I am trying to configure my own bootloader/image for an core2 duo CPCI
Board. The board doesn't have a serial port, thats why I would like to
use a VGA for output.
I've already included the PC_CONSOLE in the Kernel Configuration, wich
made me get errors while building my project. After including the
target-resident kernel shell I could finaly build my project, but
still the only VGA Output I get while booting is "v1.6++++++++++....".

Can anybody tell me what I might be missing?

Kind Regards,
Lars

Hi Lars,

I realise it's been a while since your posting, but I've seen that before and may be able to help.

You don't mention which version you're using, but it sounds like you've changed to PC console for the vxWorks image by changing the Tornado/Workbench configuration. If the bootrom is built outside this configuration, you also need to define INCLUDE_PC_CONSOLE in config.h and rebuild the bootrom too.

Regards,
Tim.
