Hi.

I have used Tornado 2.0 for quite some time under windows 2k without
problems. But when I try to install it on a pc with windows xp, it fails
just after typing the user information/license key during install. It says
that UITCLSH.EXE has failed, and I have to abort installation.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Regards,
Ole-Johan

Hello,

Two options, take your pick:

1) Upgrade to a real operating system, dumping Windoze which has to be
the world's worst OS for real software development ;-)

2) Contact Wind River and ask them for either the fixes to install and
run under XP, or perhaps even better upgrade to Tornado 2.2 (assuming
that it still supports your chosen CPU, and that your delivery date is
not so close as to make this risky - but then if that's the case, I
wouldn't change to XP either).

HTH,
John...
