Dear All
Can you please do me favor and let me know how can I make use of the
VxWorks keyboard shortcut ? As you know , there is the same utility on
the Linux and Unix that lets the operator to make use of the
previously entered commands by just pressing the up-arrow key . The
Linux counterpart is as TAB key and the Unix one is the bash shell .
Can you please let me know what is the equivalent for the VxWorks ?
Thank you in advance

The VxWorks shell works very much like bash and other Unix shells in vi
mode. So for example, to scroll back through the command history, type

<esc>k

where <esc>is the Escape key, then k to scroll backwards and j to scroll
forwards. To search for a previously-used command, type

<esc>/

followed by the string you are searching for and type the Enter key.
You can also edit a command by typing <esc> to enter edit mode, then h
or l to move the cursor left or right and the usual vi commands to edit
the text.

If you can't find your Wind River documentation on this, look at the man
page for just about any Unix shell derived from the Bourne shell and
read the section on vi-mode editing. The basic editing commands should
be the same.
