Hello

I can build VxWorks within Tornado, fby selecting the menu option
under "Project"->"make XXX" -> etc.

How do I run same Makefile from the shell prompt ?

Thanks
Peter

cd MyPetProject
make vxWorks.st
(assuming vxWorks.st is your target)

Look at the makefile that came with your BSP, you'll see the different
targets. Also, look at target\h\make\rules.bsp, you'll see WindRiver
default targets.

Peter,

I'm assuming you are using the Windows version of Tornado. If you ensure
that

C:\Tornado\host\x86-win32\bin

is in your path, all you need to do is change to the BSP directory and type

make

to build vxWorks and vxWorks.sym or

make clean

to clean up. Other make targets can be found by looking in
target\h\make\rules.bsp.

You do need to make sure that the environment variables WIND_BASE and
WIND_HOST_TYPE are defined. WIND_BASE is typically C:\Tornado, and
WIND_HOST_TYPE for Windows hosts is x86-win32.

There is a file, torVars.bat, in the Tornado host bin directory
that will set up your environment based on your installation.
(that is, for a Windows host....) So, execute torVars.bat from
your DOS shell, then just run make as Charlie mentions below.

Thanks.

For the NT host, are VxWorks developers in general using the win32
command shell or the cygwin32 (UNIX shell emulation) from Cygnus ?
