In cooperation with the CONNECT user group, I'll be doing a
Pre-Conference Seminar on June 15, 2009 at HPTF&E 2009 entitled
"Disaster Proof: Using OpenVMS Clusters for Disaster Tolerance" - see
http://www.hptechnologyforum.com/preconf.html.
If you are thinking of or planning to build a disaster-tolerant OpenVMS
Cluster, you may find the seminar helpful.

Today at 10:00 AM CDT (Central Daylight Time), CONNECT is hosting a free
1-hour "Sneak Peek" webinar in preparation for that seminar. In this
Sneak Peek I'll outline industry, technology, and other world-wide
trends affecting Disaster Recovery and Disaster Tolerance, identify
common questions people ask when considering a disaster-tolerant OpenVMS
Cluster configuration, summarize the technology alternatives available,
and what is typically found in configurations seen in actual practice,
and point out some of the critical decisions one must make in planning,
designing, and implementing a disaster-tolerant configuration.

Thanks for the heads-up! Unfortunately I'm already scheduled on a
conference call over that period but given a choice I'd be watching.

As usual, Keith did a great job. Too bad about the short notice, at
least for me.

Might have been advertised elsewhere and I just missed it.

Anyways, thanks again.

My apologies. The slides are posted at
http://www.connect-community.org/Events/Webcasts/050609WebcastHPTFESneakPeek/tabid/240/Default.aspx

The webcast was also recorded, and I'm told the recording will be posted
within a couple of weeks.
