You can attach a video terminal to the printer port (all this
from Mod 38 documentation).
1) Shut down the system.
2) Turn all power switches to Off.
3) On the back of the system, find the S3 icon over the
alternate console slide switch. Down is the normal
position. [Note: On ours there is no icon; it is a small
switch on the right side of the back.]
4) Switch slide to up. The serial portis now a terminal port.
5) Attach a DEC 423 serial cable to port and terminal.
[Note: it shouldn't need to be 423.]
6) Turn alternate console on.
7) Turn all other power switches on.
8) Enter DTE at the console prompt.
If the console prompt does not appear, press the Break key.
To exit terminal emulation mode, press CTRL P.
The state of the S3 switch is only read at powerup.

Note: This is the serial port marked with a printer icon.

And to add a second part to it. How do I set up the thing so It won't
halt on break? I don't want to in fact plus a console in at all,
just have it boot, and go. Conections are via LAT, telnet etc. I
do not want to NEED a console pluged in most of the time.

Once you have the setup correct, it won't need the serial console at all.
Just unplug it ...
