Concerning hotels for iwp9:
I recommend the Maldron because it is close (easy walking distance) to the restaurants and pubs (the music pub is across the street).
Choose the Crown Plaza only if you are not interested in the evening social programs, or if you want a high class hotel and don't mind a 10 km taxi trip at the end of the evening.
