Dear OS9 experts,
I reactivated OS9 v 2.4 running on 68030 ELTEC E6 board (after a long
time (several years) of being switched off).
Everything - to my positive astonishment - went very smoothly,
however, when I connect an internet cable to the board, I see, that
the "ifman" manager consumes a lot of CPU, and - after a short time -
the system is stuck.
I updated internet information - IP numbers of the board itself and
the gate, hosts name, etc. This works OK - I can connect to the
system via telnet or ftp, I can also see outside world from the
system. But this works 10-15 minutes, then the system is stuck.
Just an observation: when the internet setup was not correct and I
could not connect to the internet, the behaviour of the ifman was
exactly the same - just after connecting of the inernet cable to the
board, the "ifman" started consuming almost all CPU time...
Does maybe anybody have a similar problem?
I will appreciate any help or advice,
thanks in advance and best regards,
Elzbieta Banas
