x) newview.exe would just plain crash;
x) view.exe would show a window "DLL not found: combo"; if one
clicks on "OK" too soon (before the search ends?), view.exe
would crash.
Today I did a binary search, and found a relevant file: DDNSBK1.INF;
it is interesting that loading it shows the window, but does not
crash...
Renaming to DDNSBK1.INF-broken removed the crashes.
Anyone with more info (like what is this DLL)?

I assume you mean INF. It appears to be something that shipped with
TCP/IP v4.1. I cannot find a copy in any of my local installs, none of
which are TCP/IP v4.1.

Actually, I meant: "e.g., what is COMBO.DLL?"... 4.1 is the original
warp4, so maybe I will look into these images.
