Is there are paging utility that will monitor the error logs on an
OS/2 machine. We have an AS/400 connected to two 3995 optical units
with two OS/2 controllers. Anytime we have an mechanical error with
the optical units they are reported in the temporary and permanent
error logs. If anyone knows of a way to set up automatic paging
anytime we get an error it would be most helpful.

Sure, I have done this and I am going to rewrite it shortly. This is
a strange but neat project; I have mine set up to watch the error logs
once a minute and, when there is a change, the change is sent to my
alpha pager. Since you are watching an error log and that means the
format is likely to be unique and the paging routine will probably
have to be written specifically for it. Not too big a deal. Sure is
nice too! U can email me it you want any more info.
