The problem it seems to be the root for the disk images.
The README's say that you can install from CD or creating "44" floppies...
no way .. i would like to install from CD.
In this PCMag CD OS2 is a directory inside the CD...
so .. i burn an image making the OS2 dir. become the root dir from CD...
the CD contains this structure:
/+
+/DISKIMGS+
+/OS2
+/35
I have correctly created the 3 floppies for CD instalation...
they are floppy images existing in the /35 directory...
Installation disk = DISK0.DSK
OS/2 Installation disk 1= DISK1_CD.DSK (since this will be a CD-ROM
installation)
OS/2 Installation disk 2= DISK2.DSK
I have created partitions, but when the installation program asks for the
CD,
it can't find it...
Could you give me some help to create a correct directory structure to
install correctly...
Best regards.

Thanks Alan !
You got me wrong, besides my english is not too good.
I meant, I can read the D: unit (the CD-ROM), my CD-ROM unit is well
recognized, BUT when the Installation program asks for the Installation CD
it can't find the appropiate files...
My question is.. could someone tell me what is the content or directory
structure for the OS/2 Warp 4.0 Installation CD ?
Thanks

Just to be sure... have you also updated these installation floppies for
"large IDE drive" support? If you've got an IDE drive larger than 4GB you
must update the floppies first.
And don't forget to add the "SET COPYFROMFLOPPY=1" to your config.sys on the
second diskette, in order to copy the updated drivers over to your hard drive
for the rest of the installation.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You must update GA OS/2 to support IDE drives over 4gig. The same fix
actually supports IDE drives over 8.4gig as well.
I assume you have acquired this fix, and updated your installation disks
according to the instructions. But if not, here's what you need:
Installing to IDE Drives over 8.4 GB's
Instructions for accessing the >8.4 GB IDE Hardfile Support update:
From the web browser of your choice
- Link to http://service.software.ibm.com/os2ddpak/index.htm (below)
- Click on "Yes, I agree. Show the Device Category List..."
- Click on "OS/2 Component Updates"
- Click on "Installation Diskette Updates"
- Click on ">8.4GB IDE Hardfile Support"
- Download the IDEDASD.EXE file and run it. Then follow the instructions
in the README.TXT to install.
Link to http://service.software.ibm.com/os2ddpak/index.htm now
You will not be able to install and run OS/2 on your 8.4gig IDE hard unless
you apply this update.

You might just get the current updated installation floppies from IBM:
