You can't put a PCI Card in a PCI Express > slot. I'm pretty sure that PCI Express is designed to accommodate 32 bit
cards as well. So, yes, an older video adapter should work.

No, PCI Express is a completely new standard, so you can only use PCI
Express cards in the slots.

But the machine probably has standard PCI slots also.
