Has the C++ User Interface Class Library from IBM been ported to Windows yet?
We are exploring the library and find the CANVAS class especially usefull. However,
without a porting option to Windows we are out of luck. If the library has not been
ported, does anyone know of a Windows library that provides dynamic sizing for
dialog elements when things such as the font size or label text length changes?

IBM is porting the OpenClass library which I believe is the next
version of UICL to Win32, with planned ports to several under UNIX
platforms. Win32 version is probably due out at the end of the year.
The library may already be on AIX.

Yes, the IBM User Interface Class Library has been ported to Windows and
is now in beta test. It goes along with a Windows version of the CSet++
compiler, also in beta. I'm under the impression that there are several
other platforms support as well, but I have only hearsay.

In article <3uh0j1$5...@stc06.ctd.ornl.gov>,

Any chance of their providing MFC3.x in the Visual Age C++ context so
that MFC based apps could be compiled, run and tested under OS/2 for both
OS/2 and Win32 (NT,W95,Win3.x/win32s)? I'm hoping that's included with
their plan to "provide Win32 API" among the next OS/2 releases (and that
that in turn implies catching up with current Win32s version [2.x].)
