Has anyone got the anti spam features in sendmail configured yet?

Apparently, in addition to setting up F classes for spammers and
spam domains you need to set up new rulesets for handling these
classes. Unfortunately the supplied sample SENDMAIL.CF does
not have examples for controlling spam.

If anyone is interested...

The check_* rules are explained at:

http://www.sendmail.org/~ca/email/check.html

If anyone manages to get it to work, can you explain what you
did?

Don't have any answers but do have additional questions :-)

Does anyone know what level the new Sendmail from TCPIP4.3 from Software
Choice equates to in 'real' sendmail terms. 8.9 ???

cheers

Looking at the executable with a hex viewer shows 8.6.11.1 but there are
also strings like check_mail, check_rcpt, check_relay present in the DLL
and these are features introduced in a later version of sendmail, so it
may be based on 8.9.3, but I have no way of knowing for sure.

Ahh, right. Thanks for that John.
I shall now continue with my vain efforts to try and get it to work :-(

Best of luck!

If you have any success, please let me know.

BTW Dan Casey mentioned in a different NG (c.o.o.misc) that he will
try and contact someone at IBM who may know the secret about
configuring spam control in this sendmail, so keep an eye out over
the next couple of days.
