Gee, just 5.5 hours to spare to meet the self-imposed deadline. Why can't
I help thinking that it's being released simply to keep their promise?
Considering the number of bug reports circulated here on even the latest
betas, I'm concerned that GA might not be as bug free as IBM (and us
customers) would like. Actually, IBM is in a no-win situation. They'll
get strong criticism for either being late or releasing a buggy product.
I'll be pleasantly surprised if it is as stable as hoped. Still, the
formal release date is of no great importance to me. What counts is when
a copy shows up on my doorstep. No doubt we'll be seeing reports in this
newsgroup of when various people receive their GA copy. It will be
interesting to see how fast it propagates.

6.304e is almost six weeks old that is a long time in the development
cycle (based upon the changes seen between other beta drivers). As for
the problems with 6.307d, it was not generally available so I can't comment
on it.
