Looking for a PCI ISDN adapter for which OS/2 drivers are available and that
works in France. I believe that notably the signalling protocol (D-channel)
is somewhat different as in e.g. Germany and Holland.
Anybody can give some idea's on brands and maybe where to buy?
TIA,
Erik B.

I would suggest you consider an external modem and use a serial
port connection. You will not need drivers and in most cases the
configuration can be set-up via DOS or windows.

Good luck. You'll need it. You just migt want to consider one that
doesn't require drivers. That would be an external. I used ZyXEL TA128.
Still sitting in closet after sawitching to dsl.

That is not true for the new revision of there ISDN Cards.
ISDN Cards with OS/2-support are available from HST High Soft Tech,
Hamburg. There website is only in german language.
http://www.hstnet.de/3_produkte/1_isdn/index.asp
They support the EURO-ISDN protocol (this should also be available at
france) and additional the ISDN protocol used in USA.
ISDNPM 3.03 is working well with there ISDN Cards.

Yes, he can use an external ISDN-Modem, but than he can not use all
ISDN-Features witch are available via CAPI except there is a OS/2 CAPI
for the external ISDN Modem available.
For example: ISDN-Connection to two different location at the same time.

- I contacted Eicon and they told me their DIVA v2.01 _has_ an OS/2
compatible driver for download available, but the new version v2.02 doesnot.
From Eicon Diva WWWebsite I get that the French D-channel protocol is VN1
(whatever that means) is supported by it.
- I asked HST 2x with the same question about the D channel protocol
specification of their (new) Saphir card (http://www.hstnet.de/) which says
in the header 'D-Kanal Protokolle: Sonstige (5ESS, NI1, ...)' what those
'...' exhaustively means, but got no answer...
- Moreover, I have tried many places in France to obtain _any_ PCI ISDN card
but today people are only interested in ADSL and the shops son't carry any
ISDN stuff anymore...
sigh...
If Karlheinz could lend me his HST card, I would be glad trying it... (Hi,
Karlheinz! :-)
Greetings to all of you,
Erik B.
