Is there an MPTS fixpack that provides OS/2 WARP v 3.0 with DHCP
capabilities???

Thank you,
Dan

Yes, check out the following URL:

http://www.cincyteamos2.org/masterupdate_c.html

If you install the latest MPTS fixpack, it adds DHCP and (I believe) DDNS.

Thank you. I found the DSK disks (2 of them). But, there is mention of a
third "MUST HAVE" diskette called CSFTOOL1.DSK. I cannot locate this one
anywhere.

Additionally, will FP31 add this modification (DHCP) to MPTS? If so, I can
find no reference to DHCP. Again, this is OS/2 Warp Connect version 3.0 (not
4).

Thanks!

I assume these are the Corrective Service Facility tools. You might try using
the latest CSF utility, also available on that site. Look for WKICKR.ZIP on
http://www.cincyteamos2.org/masterupdate/masterupdate.html

I haven't installed FP31, but based on past experience, I doubt it. IBM
usually packages these fixes separately, and yes, this will add DHCP to
Connect.

We have DHCP running on our Warp 3 machines even though the TCPCFG program doesn't give you the option of using it. All we did was
replace the \mptn\bin\setup.cmd with one that makes the calls necessary to run DHCP. Here are the contents:

route -fh
arp -f
dhcpstrt -i lan0
ipgate off

This will start the DHCP client.
