I can see it from (good Pronew/2) Thinkpad computer.

Yes, I see it in c.o.o.mail.news. Weren't you trying to post to m.d.p.os2?
There is also m.test on the mozilla server if you need to make a lot of
test messages.

Good plan, I was hoping there might be such an animal!

Here's a clue. Check the headers on my posts in this subject, "Test
post". If it lists USER AGENT as Pronews/2 V1.60, it's from the
computer having posting problems. That should have been the original
post here.
If the header lists USER AGENT as Pronews/2 V1.59, it's from the
computer that's working correctly.
Both your reply and Dave's reply was to MY "good computer" reply to my
own original post from the "bad" computer. I wish someone could see
the original.

There may be a problem with both groups with one particular computer.
I just subscribed to mozilla.test, posted, and nothing shows up there
either. At least that's consistent.

Yes, I see your post originating from version 1.60.

I'm seeing it on Newsguy's server, and as you can see from the
quoted "User-Agent:" header it's from your "problem" version/machine.

There are three newsgroups on news.mozilla.org with "test" in
their name, including mozilla.test, and I see nothing from you in any
of them.

I wouldn't expect anyone to post a 'NO' answer ;-)
FYI, I do have your original post from July 3, 2010
here on my server.

It is better to close your mouth, and look like a fool,
than to open it, and remove all doubt.

Caught that didn't you? :) So did I as soon as I hit "send".

THAT makes me very happy! I was almost convinced I was the only
person in the world who could see that post on all 6 of MY computers..
Thank you!

Thank you! I can quit jumping from computer to computer when replying
to posts in *THIS* group. Now I know the problem computer is only
mis-behaving on news.mozilla.org.

I don't see that on news.mozilla.org either. Jut in case, I removed the 4
ancient global filters that I had defined and reload the group and still can't
see anything. If you can see it, can you quote the message-id for that 'missing'
article here please and I'll see if I can find it using that.

I see it on my server (Newsguy), too. I missed it when I looked
for it yesterday :-( but I see it today.
