Termonal Velocity CD

Has anyone got the "CD-ROM" or full version of Terminal Velocity
(http://www.3drealms.com/tv/index.html) working, not counting the
DosBox.EXE-environment?

It does work with DosBox, but screen updates are too slow. The
shareware version works just fine in any DOS session, but not the full
version (with "No digital sound card" in SETUP.EXE). It actually
occurs in OS/2's DATABASE.TXT, which suggests it did work at least
once for somebody:
