Yes, WP/2 96 does both import and export Word7 format.

Thanks for the answer Jan, I'll check it out.
Be aware that the Word import/export in WordPro 96 is really bad. Equations
are exported/imported as graphics which do not even display. Word Pro
(preupdate) actuall went unstable after tryiing to export a Word document.
I have had the best success exporting from WordPro into Word Perfect 5.1
format. Word 6.0 (and Word 97 I presume) and Word Pro can both import/export
WP 5.1 with no problems whatsoever. I even got equations to transfer in an
editable fashion. This supports my theory that Word Perfect 5.1 is the
universal file format :-).
