Hi All,

I want to switch Classic REXX with Object REXX

I run from cmd line: switchrx

This program will now replace the current Classic REXX interpreter of
OS/2
with the Object REXX interpreter.

Enter 'Y' to continue, any other input will cancel this procedure.
y
WARNING: The replacement of Classic REXX with Object REXX has already
been initiated for the next reboot.

If you want to stop the replacement enter 'Y', any other input will
leave the replacement of Classic REXX with Object REXX at
the next reboot.

I reboot, but i still have classic rexx...
I tried allready 7 times, is there a other solution to get Object
Rexx,

I need this for runmapsys.cmd / It's for QT4

Delete the file x:\OS2\INSTALL\SWITCHRX.LST, that's how SWITCHRX .CMD
itself detects a scheduled switch. Reboot, run SWITCHRX.CMD again, if
needed change the Rexx interpreter again and reboot.

That's no surprise. Use x:\OS2\SWITCHRX.CMD to remove *.INI entries
and use SWITCHRX.CMD as a starting point to perform the switch
manually, boot to a prompt and switch manually. The most frequently
used command is a REN(AME), it's isn't that special nor completed.

Another option is to check the environment, again using SWITCHRX.CMD
to find out what to check.

SwitchRx uses the old IBMLANLK locked file driver. This tool can get
confused if the DEVICE or RUN statements are too far from the top of
config.sys or config.sys already contains references to them. If
that's not the problem, you might want to try

http://home.earthlink.net/~steve53/os2tools/SwitchRexx.zip

which allow you to swtch between OREXX and Classic REXX without
rebooting.
