Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Stephen,
I have had similar problems...was finally able to get the modem to
respond, now HALite just locks after disconnect....Anyway, to get to the
first step, have you downloaded the latest update for HALite? I know it
is available on compuserve, and I am sure many other places. Next,
have you tried a simple user defined modem string (ATZ, or AT&F)? To do
this, just follow the instructions in the /HALite/USERMDM.TXT file.
Hope this helps,

Your mouse is on com1. (should be) Try com2, and make sure you don't have
any IRQ conflicts. Warp does not share irq's like dos does.
I didn't have problems with it not recognizing my modem. My main problem
is that during a Z-modem transfers, my session would often hang after
a upload or download. it would hang to the point where I would have
to ctrl-alt-delete since OS/2 wasn't able to terminate the application for
some strange reason...
Anyone else experience this or have ideas?

HAlite also would hang when I CKermit to the campus host, just after sending
or receiving. However, I may kill it by closing it from the Window List.
I did once... The speed in the software (Halite) was not set properly.
My modem is a 14.4 USR and without thinking, the software was not set
at 30400...

I've heard that HA/Lite doesn't like the 14.4 speed setting. Use
19.2 or higher is supposedly the fix. The REAL fix is to get ZOC
(and PAY for it). ZOC blows HA/Lite right into the weeds!
