Hello all!
Well, as a dutiful TeamOS/2 member, I made it a point of calling Mathsoft
today when I got an offer for MathCad version 5.0 for Windows. As many of you
already know, MathCad uses WIN32s which prevents it from running under WINOS/2.
The gentleman I spoke to stated that version 5.0 will run just fine under
Windows 3.1 and Windows NT.
He then went on to say that they now have an OS/2 specific version that is
in the works. He could not give any information as to it's capabilities, it's
price or it's arrival date but it looks like another large vendor has decided
that OS/2 is a viable platform for their product!

: Not very committal. Given what we have gone through with WordPerfect
: and Corel, I'll pass judgement *after* I load the software on my machine.
I sure hope it's true. 'bout friggin time too. Does mathsoft have
an email address with which we can lean on..er.. I mean emphasize
the importance of a Native OS/2 version?

I don't hold to much stock in that. When I spoke to MathCad folks before
the beginning of the year, the word was that OS/2 was on the way. Not
long at all. Last time I spoke with them (this week), the word was
they couldn't say anything but that OS/2 was being looked at.
Not very committal. Given what we have gone through with WordPerfect
and Corel, I'll pass judgement *after* I load the software on my machine.
