Hi,

I have what I think is an easy task but still I am failing. I am new at
this. We have ZENworks for Desktops 3.

I need to distribute a hosts file to all my users when they logon. I
created an application object in the container above where my users are,
associated it with a test user, set the association for Force Run. I
added the operating system to the environment. I set the file as an
Application file indicating the source on a server and the target on the
workstation.

Thinking setting Force Run is enough, I logged on as the associated
user. But nothing happened. Am I missing something simple? Do I have to
run nalwin32 even with Force Run?

Can anyone suggest what I might try or what I might be doing wrong?

Is there any book that would offer trouble shooting suggestions in a
situation like this or any online documentation I should down load?

Are there other appropriate newsgroups I might get help from reading and

posting to?

Thanks.

(I use the last free version of ZenfD on netware 4.11 sp8a, but maybe
this will help)

Verify if "run app once" is unchecked
Verify if "copy allways" is checked
Verify if "distribute allways" is checked
Check if the nwclient part that does zen is installed (forgot the
name, in client 3.21 it's the first option, above the ndps printers)

And yes, I do believe you need to run nalexpld or nal.

Good luck.
