The address list needs to be regenerated from NDS. Go into MHSCON (i.e.
load mhscon at the system console), and tell it to generate the extract
file. You should reset the configuration file to have the extract file
periodically regenerated is you're making frequent changes to NDS.

We're running NetWare 4.1 and using FirstMail. The problem is that the
only users that exist in the Global Address List are those that existed
when we installed MHS. Now, any new users we add to the system do not
appear in the list. Anyone got any ideas about what we are missing
here?

First Mail sucks.

Try adding the users again. I constantly have problems with new users
being added, then they disappear. I'll just add them a 2nd or 3rd time,
and they finally stick (Using ADMIN).

One of these days, I'll figure out how to req an real mail package. Until
then I'm stuck. I've also seen messages not delivered as well.

You might want to look into Pegasus Mail, which should work at least as
well as First Mail. Keep in mind that users that are added to NDS will
not appear in the First Mail address book until the next time that MHS
Services generates the extract file. So, if your extract file is
generated one per day, then they don't appear until one day after they
are added to the extract file. Also note that the extract file is
generated from the list of subtrees that appear in the [extract] portion
of the MHS Services configuration file, and users that are added outside
of those subtrees will never appear in the subtree,

For messages that are not delivered, you might want to check the mailbox
of the postmaster that is configured for the Messaging Server object in
NDS. Also check to see if there are any files with the .BAD extension
in the MHS directory structure on the file server.

Ken,

Go to your MHS Services Console and Choose Update Extract File

That will update your firstmail global address list.
