I downloaded the Client32 and installed on my Windows 95 PC. It seems to
work just fine, and to perform very well. However, I seem to have an
incompatibility of some kind on my system and wondered if it would sound
familiar to anyone?

My workstation has an HP 4020i CD-ROM (writable) connected to the Advansys
controller it came with. When I was using the Microsoft client,
everything worked ok. However, when the Novell client is installed, the
CD-ROM is recognized by Win95, but when I try to access it, I get a
"device not ready error" (as if nothing is in the drive).

I am discouraged to find that if I put an NEC 6Xi drive in its place, it
seems to work just fine. Also, If I substitute an Adaptec 2940 PCI card
instead of the 16-bit Advansys card, the CD-ROM is accessable, but won't
write properly (nothing to do with the network).

Any ideas? I noticed I can send mail to novell, but they say they won't
respond to it. I guess I'm back to Microsoft drivers (I like the novell
client better!).

Thanks
Rob
