Is it possible to run Novell Netware 3.12 in dosbox? I get a message saying:
Insufficient memory to run NetWare 386
(requires at least 3 megabytes of extended memory)

But I have enough memory availeble. it seems to have a problem with
memstructure under windows. It only works when starting up in Dos in Save
mode.

thnx,

No. I suspect the problem is that by the time you have Windows up, you've
got some memory managers (ala HIMEM.SYS) loaded. NW hates memory managers.

Are you talking NetWare *client* or *operating system* ? It sounds like
the latter, in which case no you can't run it under windows.

You can only run NetWare in a DOS box if you run it on top of OS/2, and
using the "NetWare for OS/2" specific version.

Jacob,

I've seen this done under OS/2 Warp and it works great, but MS Windows
doesn't handle memory the same....I don't think you'll ever make it
work.

It doesn't run in a DOS box in OS/2, either. It's implemented with
native OS/2 devices and programs, not simply running server.exe in a DOS
box.
