Any of Borland's Compliers are good. Turbo C++ for Dos, or Borland C++
is for Dos,Windows,Windows NT, and Windows 95

Developing under DOS
Turbo C++ V 3 for DOS is good and requireds comparitavly little
resource. 80268, 2mb ram, 10mb hard disk space.

After that Borland 3.1 which supports Dos (and windows) but needs 50 MB
of disk space. It does have the largest set of paper manuals Borland
ever suppied as standard.

Developeing under windows for DOS
Borland C++ 4.52

Developping under Win95....... Dont :-) but if you must
Borland 5 (this package includes a "free" Borland 4.52)

I would not suggest Borland 4 or 4.1 as they had I seem to recall
"undocumned features"

Turbo C++ 3.1 or 4.5 for windows do not support DOS

Personally I use Turbo C++ 4.5 for windows and Turbo C++ 3 for Dos
for dos work. Both packages are V inexpensive and do most things.

Regards

Chris
