I'm just getting started with Turbo Vision, but the configure script
doesn't work for me and I can't get it to compile. This is the error I get:

Unknown OS, you must do things by yourself at conflib.pl line 893.
Determining OS:

What does it take to get Turbo Vision working? I'm on WinXP.

In a perfect world Turbo Vision would be written in standard C++ so it
can be compiled on any modern compiler. But in the real world, I'd at
least like to get it to compile in Bordland's recent C++ products (since
it was made by Borland and I'd like to be able to write it in a modern
IDE) and the GNU compiler (so I can compile TUI programs on most
platforms). Is this feasible?

There exists also a version for DJGPP, a 32-bit protected Mode compiler.
It is developed by SET. http://tvision.sf.net

I'm not using anything yet because I can't get it to compile, but yes
that's the one I'm aware of. I've tried to follow the directions in
\doc\install\ but the included configure script doesn't work for me. It
says it can't determine the operating system.

It was my understanding that DJGPP was a DOS port of the GNU compiler,
so I assumed that if it compiled for DJGPP it would compile for other
GNU compilers too.
