Ahoi ... oldies but goodies!

Ahoi, all,

I did not look in the ng for some time. Was busy elsewhere. Interesting
to see reactions.

Yes, old machines were doing find, AND they were doing better than many
stuff we are now forced to use.

We have the year 2013 now. Back in 1992 the last version of WordStar was
published (WordStar 7 *), which still today is the best writers' text
editor ever. It runs on DOS and STILL is lightyears ahead of the other
programs. Imagine this: 20 years billions of people are forced to use
crap. Isn't that a shame?


* I only use it, I do not look at the numbers. I use WordStar for over
30 years now, since version 3.3. Just one of the magificient gems: 10
markers can be set to directly jump to with just a click... THAT is
amazing speed...
