I'm running XP-SP3, and have both cmd.exe and TCC-LE.exe

When I run a bat file, it opens a littel cmd window, and if I click on
the maximize button in the upper right corner, it gets taller, from the
top of the screen to the bottom, but no wider. It's about 55% of the
width of the screen, but I'd like it to be 100%.

Is there a way to make it do that?

(I think it used to work that way in 98SE, and maybe even XP, for both
programs.)

In XP and earlier, Alt Enter make the cmd screen go full screen, and back to windowed
- there are caveats but give it a shot,

You may have to change the properties of the window.

Right click on the title bar, one option is Properties, click on
that.
the tab Layout will give you the option to change the Window Size
height and width.

Not on XP - I made those discoveries back on the XP box.

This is about as good as you will get in Vista and later.

It worked. Great. Thanks a lot.

WRT what follows: I thought I remembered how to do it. Exactly what
you have here.. How could I possibly forget that?

This is good too. Thanks a lot.

I forgot to mention that I hanged the properties of the TCC icon to make
the window open maximized, but it made no difference.

XP is the last Windows with support for native hardware
textmode.

Is that supposed to work in 4NT 5? Here is what I get:

c:\BAT\fullscreen.bat

No. The OP included the 4dos group which I don't monitor, and I didn't notice that it was crossposted.
