C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE /n,/e,/root,"C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu"
Change the drive letters and directory name over to your setup if you have
windows on a different drive and dir than C:\WINDOWS, also remember to make
sure to put in the quotes in, it lets windows know that all that is between
them is one entry. This will throw you into a rooted explorer view of just
the START menu. It's handy to have it and not have to back out and do it the
old way.
Have fun :

After you finish this, the TWO-click method to edit the start menu is:
Left-click the Start button.
Left-click the "Edit the Start Menu" entry.
Whereas if you don't do this, you have a much more complex method:
RIGHT-click the Start button.
Left-click the "Open" or "Explore" entry, your choice.
