I am attempting to get rid of the above files and run Win 95 without.
The only problem I am having is when I exit Win95 to DOS my cdrom and
mouse will not load. I get these messages "Device driver not found
MSCD000 no valid cdrom device drivers selected" and "cannot load
mouse: file not found " I know I can configure an autoexec.bat and
config.sys for a DOS program using properties, but cannot figure out
how to load my CDROM and mouse drivers when exiting Win 95 to DOS. I
have tried modifying my Dosstart.bat but cannot get cdrom and mouse to
load. Everything runs fine without autoexec.bat and config.sys in Win
95.
If possible email me
Thanks in advance- BOB

The mouse driver can be loaded with DOSSTART.BAT, but use
the EXE or COM not the SYS version.
The CD driver is a nother thing.
You mentioned familiar with PROPERTIES, well checks the
MSDOS box and then the NEW CONFIG box.
Two new windows are highlighted, they are for config.,sys
and autoexec.bat configurations. Wi95 will completely reboot
using these new settings and reboot back again to the
origional when done.
WHY not load the mouse and cd driver (.SYS) versions in
config.sys from the getgo and then using DOSSTART.BAT setup
the MSCD portion. The mouse stays when loaded in config.sys.

Creative Labs (Sound Blaster,...) has created a programm which allow you to load *.SYS files (for your CD-ROM, sounds
cards and perhaps your mouse) in DOSSTART.BAT. It's called CTLOAD.COM I guess, check for the auto-decompress archive
CTLOAD.EXE on their "CD-ROM and Windows 95" web page.
