This is from "Tips and Tricks for Windows 95"
Tip #31
Do you have a Logitech mouse? This hack will let you use the middle =
mouse button as a doubleclick! Save this as "midclick.reg" and double =
click it!
**start of midclick.reg**
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Logitech\MouseWare\CurrentVersion\SerialV\0000=
]
"DoubleClick"=3D"001"
**end of midclick.reg**

Much better, I think (especially if you *don't* have a Logitech mouse), is a
little program that I ran for years under Win3 (and I've been running it since
last August under Win95 with no problems) is called MouseKey. It's completely
FREE, and it takes up very little of your system resources. It lets you assign
operations to all 3 of the mouse buttons, and you can even tell it under which
programs you *don't* want it to run. In Win3, I used it to set up the right
button as a double-click, and the middle button as a HotKey combination. Now,
with the right mouse button already used for so much in Win95, I have the
middle button as a double-click. Trust me, you don't know how much extra work
you're doing by double-clicking until you don't have to do it anymore. It's a
great little program! I checked on the Web, and ZDNet has it on their software
collection. The exact URL for downloading this program is:
http://www.hotfiles.com/swbrowse/000/0/5/swlib-000056.html
If that doesn't work, go to ZDNet's main site -- or one of the other software
repositories out there. It's a 16-bit program written for Win 3.1 and above,
but like I say, it works perfectly under Windows 95.
