Hello,
Does anyone know what the minimum Hd size is needed to install win 95.
I have a 202mb drive and it is too small for win 98. I want to not have to
revert to using win 3.1 if possible.
Any thoughts on this?
Grant

That's plenty of room for Windows 95. I once installed it on a 44 meg
hardrive (but didn't have room for programs).

>From MS Support (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=138349):

System requirements for installing Windows 95:
a.. Personal computer with a 386DX or higher processor (486 recommended)
b.. 4 megabytes (MB) of memory (8 MB recommended)
c.. Typical hard disk space required to upgrade to Windows 95: 35-40 MB
The actual requirement varies depending on the features you choose to
install.
d.. Typical hard disk space required to install Windows 95 on a clean
system: 50-55 MB The actual requirement varies depending on the features you
choose to install.
e.. One 3.5-inch high-density floppy disk drive
f.. VGA or higher resolution (256-color SVGA recommended)

I once squeezed it onto a 128MB Syquest cartridge, as a thing to use
in emergencies. And used to advise keeping the C: under 512 MB so as
to have reasonable clusters. 202 MB should cope, but will not leave
much room for anything else.
