Windows and DOS files you can lose

rid of once you installed Windows 95. I have that list (p. 316), but
I missed the August issue which said which Windows 3.x files to get
rid of. I'll list the DOS files that are unnecessary for most people.
Someone plaese list the Windows ones. Thanks.

I went through the same exercise.
Afterwards I found it a waste of time.
Win95 has DOS 7 which has all the DOS files, the same for Windows 3.1
The only file required, on a temporary basis, was the MSCDEX. EXE file
which one needs, plus the CDRom driver, to load Win95 via a CDRom.
Win95 provides its own MSCDEX driver.
One can delete the old DOS but keep the CDRom driver.
