Can Win95 be moved between computers?

I have acquired two Thinkpad 755s.
One has a smooth running Win95 installed.
The other is running Win98, but has junk left over from installs of
Win95 and a corporate NT.

I'd like to format this second laptop and do a clean install of Win95.
I have a licensed Win95 CD, but both Thinkpads have only floppy drives.
Is there any way to move operating systems from computer to computer?
(Plan B would be to pick up a used external CDR drive for about 25
bucks.)

Optxx:

Laptops often have specilized versions of an operating system that take
into account specialized hardware. But if you still want to try make
sure you have copies of the drivers for video and anything else
installed. At a minimum use device manager to see EXACTLY what is
installed and write it down on paper before you format.

Be sure to make and TEST a boot floppy so you can format the drive and
load the operating system. Or go to www.bootdisk.com and download a
small utility that will create a boot floppy when you run it.

As to how to get the files from the CD onto the hard drive:

The trick is to use a utility that can format a GOOD QUALITY floppy to
1.68 Meg. Wiondows 9x can read these with no special driver or other
software. one such utility is "Winimage" http://www.winimage.com/
