perhaps someone could help me here:
I'm looking for a serial port tracer for windows 3.1x which allows to
monitor every data that goes out or comes in via com1 or com2.
Some replace the serial port driver and promise to monitor the data
transmitted, but up to now I had no luck.
Also, there's an application out which does a kind of active simulating
and needs 3 ports instead of 1.
This is also not what I'm looking for. It should be a slim and simple
tool which just corresponds with the com driver and displays what it
finds.
Anyone already been working with such a tool?
And, yes, I need this for debugging my 56k modem problem.
Best regards,
Markus

For DOS access there's Battaglia (CTSSPU13.EXE CTS Serial Port
Utilities, Version 1.3).....
Modemsta at:
Internet: tedd...@pobox.com
Other E-mail: http://pobox.com/~teddyware
They all work good and debug on the fly such as com4 addressed as the
non-existent com3, in actuality, so this is corrected in Dos for Win3.1
