Hey there,

I got something strange.

When trying to write some code I got the following error:

error C2065: 'INVALID_FILE_ATTRIBUTES' : undeclared identifier
Error executing cl.exe.

FILE_ATTRIBUTE_* (ARCHIVE, COMPRESSED, etc) work fine...

This is in VC++ 6.0 btw with SP5. The INVALID_FILE_ATTRIBUTES is described
in the MSDN in the function GetFileAttributes();

I find it strange the rest is declared and this one (the one that's returned
upon error) isn't. :/

TIA & Regards

It's also undefined in Borland C++Builder5. And the borland win32.sdk help
file says:
"GetFileAttributes returns 0xFFFFFFFF upon failure"
I resorted to using this numerical number in my code to make it more
easily portable between VS.NET (which does define it) and BCB5.

K so the MSDN is just incorrect. :/
0xFFFFFFFF = -1 if signed right?

Appearantly we need a new platform SDK. :/ You can download it at MS
