I am looking for information on the product Toolbook from Asymetrix.
(1) Can someone please tell me what it is?
(2) How about asymetrix's address/phone/email?
(3) Any chance of a german distributor?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff.

According to my Toolbook users manual the address is:
Asymetrix Corporation
110 - 110th Avenue N.E. Suite 717
Bellevue, Washington 98004
Sales: (206) 637-1500
I use Toolbook on a regular basis where I work..
It is similar to Visual Basic with pseudo-Pascal-C code called Openscript.
I don't know about a German distributor.
Hope this helps.

Toolbook in it愀 actual version 1.53 is an object-oriented development
system for MS Windows, something similiar to Hypercard on Mac.
Easy development of apps with graphical user-interface.

Toolbook is supposed to be to Windows what Hypercard is to Mac. (It's
not a straightforward clone, though I understand translation is not
too difficult.) Toolbook used to have a reputation for snail-like
slowness, but the current edition is pretty responsive. Still, I'm
pretty underwealmed by the whole concept. Hypertext is one of those
Big Ideas that's on everybody's lips one day and replaced by another
Big Idea the next. I've programmed a little Toolbook, and used some
apps designed with Toolbook and Hypercard, and have yet to see
anything except simple software made complex.
But if you must, try calling Asymetrix at their USA number (bear in
mind that their time is GMT minus 7 in the summer): 206-637-1500. I'm sure
they can tell you who their German distributor is.
